Who we are
Based in Dundee, UK, Blown Away Brass repair was founded in 2025 after identifying the need for a repairer in the North East of Scotland. Musicians from north of the Scottish central belt were making large journeys to have instruments repaired which was proving costly and time consuming.
Blown Away Brass Repair was set up to solve this problem and through training courses delivered by Trevor Head in Wales, the brass repair workshop was set up. The percussion repair was developed through years of working in live music settings, developing a knowledge of how many percussion instruments work, how they are built and modified and how they are tuned.
In November 2026, Blown Away Brass Repairs will introduce woodwind repair once training courses have been completed and knowledge and skills have been refined.
